Pellegrini's Espresso Bar in the heart of Melbourne's CBD was one of the first cafés in Melbourne to import the Italian style coffee machine.

With today being National Coffee Day, I couldn't resist bringing my CEO Damien Neale into Pellegrini's for a coffee catchup. With it's classical Italian charm, this café sings home to the traditions of many a European espresso bar. The coffee is very traditional, strong doppio latté served at a bar not a table.

If ever you are in Melbourne and looking for a great coffee, friendly staff and a traditional coffee experience then Pellegrini's is a must.

My #CoffeeCatchup rating is 4.8/5☕

UPDATE - Nov 10 2018 - I am sadden by the news that Sisto Malaspina, one of the owners of Pellegrini's, was killed yesterday is a knife attack. Sisto was always a pleasure to see during my visits for coffee, with his enormous smile and generous heart. My condolences to the family.
