From Hygienic Library to Peppery Cafe

Located in the old Girdwood's Hygienic Library building in the middle of Flemington is Pepper Café.

This  historic building, conveniently located directly opposite the Newmarket train station in Flemington, hosts a quaint but bustling café.  Not only do they offer the typical cakes and slices, focaccias and cheese toasties, they also have kitchen service, catering for breakfasts and lunch.  For sale are handy Frank Green reusable cups and the in house coffee bean blend "Modena" - 250g for $13 and 500g for $26.

The $4 latte was robust and full-bodied leaving a very pleasant aftertaste.  It was served with just the right amount of foam to milk ratio.

The café has multiple indoor seating zones and outdoor seating along the sidewalk.  They offer free WIFI so I was able to sit for a while and catch up on my work.  The café inside was a little noisy for me so I ended up moving to the outside setting which was better for focusing on my work. Overall, a very pleasant café with both a modern and historic feel in a very convenient location.
