Walking down King Street in Fortitude Valley this morning I found this awesome looking hole in the wall serving Toby's Estate Coffee. More than a café, The Emporium Barber is also a barbershop.
Never had a coffee from a barber shop, but this morning I jumped at the opportunity to grab a take away on my way to a client. Located in the newly renovated King Street area of Fortitude Valley, this unique café is a must stop by on the way to work.
The latte was rich and bold, what you come to expect from the roasts supplied by Toby's Estate Coffee Roasters. The flavour profile was a medium roast blend that tasted like cherry and blackberries with a hint of ginger. The chap behind the counter with a moustache, equal to that of their logo, was very friendly and witty. The barista was charming with her banter about my name being more like a squiggle than a name. Overall, a very pleasant experience and one I will be repeating tomorrow morning.
